With a deadline for financing a little more than two months away, plans for Village Creek Golf Resort are being downsized in an effort to secure funding for the resort portion of the new golf course at Village Creek State Park.
Members of the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism Commission received a first-hand look at progress on the new golf course at Village Creek State Park Thursday.
Village Creek State Park was formally recognized as the 2005-06 Park of the Year on Wednesday by Greg Butts, State Parks Director. Village Creek is located north of Forrest City on Arkansas 284.
